Cooking with Mushrooms: FUNGI of the NORTH WOODS: 2026 Keweenaw Natural History seminars
Day: Tuesday, June 9th
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Marsin Nature Retreat, 52864 Red Brick Rd, Houghton
Want to eat more mushrooms, but not sure how to prepare, pair or perhaps disguise them as something your kids will eat? You're in for a treat. Please join us at the Marsin Nature Retreat Center for a hands-on & family-friendly mushroom cooking demo. Curt Webb and Keren Tischler of Metsä Hill Farm will dig into some simply delicious and fun ways to cook with mushrooms. Bonus: Because it's a cooking demo, this event involves eating! And if the weather permits, we'll get to cook outside, which is our favorite secret spice!
FUNGI of the NORTH WOODS: 2026 Keweenaw Natural History seminars are presented by the Carnegie Museum and the Keweenaw Land Trust (KLT).
Cooking with Mushrooms is our third fungi seminar. The last two seminars will be held in the fall: An ID walk and talk in late September and a presentation about fungi as a creative art medium in late October.
