Conserving nature for our quality of life

Nature is always open for business

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended all group activities and moved into virtual, home-based offices to keep our staff and community safe. We encourage you and your loved ones to spend time outdoors, with appropriate precautions, and take advantage of the solace that nature can provide. Look for self-guided and virtual activities on our events page. We have had to close our outhouses and cannot accept any reservations for our 4 reservable natural areas.

Protecting the places you love

The Keweenaw Land Trust has protected more than 7,000 acres across the Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula. We invite you to get outside and explore these very special places!

Enjoying our lands

We encourage you to always practice Leave No Trace ethics when in the outdoors, especially when visiting our nature areas. Please be respectful of these lands that have been conserved for everyone to enjoy.
