Elam Maurer is a 2025 graduate of Michigan Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Ecology and Environmental Science and a minor in fish biology. He loves spending time in the woods and exploring the Keweenaw. Elam joined the KLT team in spring 2025 as the stewardship intern and is working hard to maintain and upkeep the beautiful nature areas KLT owns. In his free time, he loves fishing, camping, playing board games, and spending time with his friends. If you spot him in the field, don’t hesitate to say hello—he’s always eager to chat about ecology, conservation, or whatever’s on your mind!
