Highlights

Koski Woods includes 364 acres of mixed forested habitats in the heart of the Abbaye Peninsula in Baraga County. The diverse forest includes a variety of upland and wetland hardwoods and conifers that have been sustainably managed. Scattered mature white pine and other conifer species provide thermal cover for wildlife species, and scattered vernal pools support aquatic life.

The Koski family has lifelong ties to the Abbaye Peninsula and a keen interest in its conservation. Roy Koski and his family reached out the the KLT to help conserve the property and maintain its natural character for future generations.
