B joined the KLT team in 2024. She started as a volunteer before becoming an intern and then serving for a year as the Communications and Program Specialist. She began her role as Executive Director in January of 2025. She holds a B.A. in Biology from St. Olaf College and an M.A. in Communication and Journalism with a concentration in Conservation Science and Practice from the University of Maine. Though she comes to the UP from Maine, she is originally from Wisconsin and spent three years working in water resource management in Minnesota. Her approach to conservation and resilience centers people, equity, and storytelling in addition to land and water. B enjoys being in, on, and around water, cross-country skiing, cooking with local bounty, hiking, camping, and sipping tea around campfires. She loves to find new ways to enjoy being outside, so feel free to share yours!
