Join Us for a Dark Sky Hike at Jacob's Creek Nature Area!Explore the night sky along Lake Superior's shoreline at the Keweenaw Land Trust's Jacob's Creek Nature Area on Friday, April 25, starting at 8:30 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Experience the beauty of the night sky
- Try some night sky photography (if you would like to)
- Learn how to make celestial measurements
- Understand the impacts of artificial light at night
- (Hopefully) see some northern lights
We will use the registration information to send you directions to Jacob's Creek, more details of what conditions to expect, some recommendations for gear to have on hand, and to notify you of any last minute changes in plans.
In case of poor weather, the hike will be postponed to Saturday, April 26.
