Old Apple Tree Pruning Workshop

Day: April 10th
Time: 1 to 3:00PM
Location: Paavola Wetlands Nature Area, in the old Finnish farmstead clearing

Directions: Note!* NO 9 Road does not connect to US 41 any longer!      From US41 take Paavola Road and then take the next road to the left Mesnard Location to its end where it curves to the east to become the No 9 Road. Go to near the end of the road to the main trailhead (look for event signs). Follow the quarter mile accessible trail to the old Finnish Farmstead clearing.

Our very own Pat Toczydlowski will demonstrate proper cuts and explain the long term plan you might develop to bring some life back into old neglected apple trees. We will provide hand outs and some cutting tools, and alchohol and wipes (needed when moving on to another tree). If you have a favorite pruning saw, clippers or set up loppers please bring them as well as your own water bottle if you'd like.

This workshop is limited to 12 participants and you must register. Also please and let us know if your plans change as we will maintain a waiting list. This is a free event but a donation is appreciated.
