Thanks to generous supporters like you, we have
protected thousands of acres of forests and wetlands
and miles of Lake Superior shoreline since our
founding in 1996. From our acquisition of the
internationally significant wetland habitats at
Lightfoot Bay to the cascading upper Hungarian
Falls, individual donors have helped the entire way.
By donating to the Keweenaw Land Trust, you are
ensuring a lasting legacy on the land that future
generations will appreciate and enjoy.
Donating to the KLT is a simple process that can
have an enduring impact on the Keweenaw landscape.
Our online giving provider, PayPal Giving Fund,
offers an easy and straightforward place to process
credit cards. Donations made through the PayPal
Giving Fund do not incur fees that other online
donation pages often charge, meaning your entire
donation makes it to KLT. Click the link below to

Your support for the Keweenaw Land Trust is what
keeps the organization alive and operating
efficiently. While KLT receives funding for specific
projects and initiatives, often the hardest money to
raise is for general operating support. It's not
always glamorous, but the behind-the-scenes work is
how we accomplish exciting new projects like
enhancing a rare coastal wetland or protecting a
scenic stretch of a wild U.P. river. Your gift will
help us pay the bills, including insurance, printing
costs for newsletters, rent for our Hancock office,
and internet, not to mention salaries for our
dedicated part-time staff. We appreciate any
contribution no matter how large. Your support is
critical to accomplishing more conservation
successes in the future.
KLT has a designated endowment fund through the
Keweenaw Community Foundation that generates a
small but steady source of unrestricted income we
can put towards a variety of programs or uses.
Contributing to our endowment fund will enhance your
gift well into the future.
The Keweenaw Land Trust also accepts donations of
land, stocks, and other financial assets. Learn more
about land donations here. Please do not hesitate to
contact us if you have
questions about your donation options.
