I work as the
Executive Director for Information
Technology at Bay de Noc Community College
in Escanaba, MI.
Although I've left the Keweenaw for work in
the "banana belt" of the UP it does not mean
my heart isn't still in the Keweenaw. I
spend many of my weekends up north, because
there are many things I love about the
Keweenaw. I love the clean air and crisp
blue skies. I love the cold, clear waters of
Lake Superior. I love the geology and rich
history. I love the fact that we have 4
seasons and that the Keweenaw humbles me
every winter. I love the forests and all the
wildlife. I just think the Keweenaw is an
incredibly special place deserving of our
work.
I enjoy winter photography of Lake Superior
ice, snowshoeing in the forests, gardening,
rock hounding, hiking, exploring old mines,
and swimming in the big lake. But, what I
enjoy most of all is spending time in the
woods enjoying the birds and the trees.
I joined the KLT Board of Directors so I
could become more involved in protecting
open spaces and the natural lake shores of
the Keweenaw. Doing business in today's
world requires information technology so
providing the KLT with equipment, expertise,
and support of information technology is one
of my main goals.
