Board of Directors

William Leonard

My wife and I own and work at the Einerlei in Chassell. Thirty-four years ago we moved to the Keweenaw seeking wild natural space, unpolluted water, and solitude. We found it! The majority of my outdoor activities involve sailing, kayaking, hiking, skiing and biking.

I want to help protect land in the Copper Country to preserve natural spaces, water and some of the historical aspects of the area.

It has become apparent that we cannot sit back and expect our government to protect the natural environment. Conservation organizations can make a large contribution to national preservation. This is why I joined the KLT. With a background of Civil Engineering, experience in Township government, and as an owner of a small business, I feel I can possibly bring a range of skills to the board.
