I have primarily worked as a biologist for a local
non-profit organization focusing on common loon
research and conservation in the Upper Peninsula,
including the Ottawa National Forest and Isle Royale
it was Isle Royale that brought me to the Keweenaw
nearly 15 years ago, I remain here due to a
connection to this place, the relationship that
other people have to this place and their history
here, and thus, the common ground and sense of
community Iíve discovered here.

in all seasons, whether hiking, birding, foraging,
